Troop 11 will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary on August 29, 2020. It is recognized as the oldest Scout Troop in Sam Houston Area Council of Scouts USA. Originally chartered in 1914, and rechartered in 1920 after a one year absence due to the Spanish Flu outbreak, Troop 11 has been sponsored by First Presbyterian Church for 100 continuous years. Troop 11 is currently led by Scoutmaster Chris Bryant and strives to be a Boy Led troop. Troop 11 has awarded 198 Eagle Scout awards, the highest award in Scouting. Troop 11 currently has 98 Scouts and over 60 Registered adults.
